AFRICAN ARTISTS FOR DEVELOPMENTAccueil

 African Artists for Development (AAD) started with a deep-seated conviction: contemporary African artistsí commitment to development projects is one of the best ways to secure a better future for the continent.

 Set up in 2009 by Gervanne and Matthias Leridon in response to the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDG), the endowment fund African Artists for Development backs community development projects associated with works by contemporary African artists.

Since 2013, the program extends over a period of four years and a group of 50 students with an average age of 13 attend classes. Students are introduced to jazz and traditional music and each of them looks after the instrument entrusted to them at the beginning of the project.
